We Need The Bible Because

It will bring us to faith in God, which we need to be saved and get to Heaven.

Romans 10:17: So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

We need preachers and teachers of the Bible. We need the Bible because it contains the good news of salvation.

Romans 10:13: For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

We need the Bible because it is able to make us wise unto salvation, because it is God*s word to us and is profitable to us. We need it because we need to know God*s doctrines, we need reproof (to know we are sinners), we need correction, we need instruction about what is right and we need what God furnishes to help us please Him.

2 Timothy 3:15: And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

We need the Bible because it will help us to avoid sin.

Psalms 119:11: Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

We need the Bible because God is able to make it a part of us and it is able to save us.

James 1:21: Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

We need the Bible because it is a guide provided to us by God Himself.

Psalms 119:105: Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

We need the Bible because it is truth and it will make us free.

John 8:32: And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

We need the Bible because it will sanctify us (set us apart from what we were before we were saved) and it will set us apart from unforgiven sinners.

John 17:17: Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

We need the Bible because it is quick (alive) and powerful.

Hebrews 4:12: For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

We need the Bible because it is food for our souls. It will make us grow as Christians.

1 Peter 2:2: As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: 3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

We need the Bible because it will give us God*s approval, it will make us workers for Him, keep us from shame and it will teach us everything we need to know.

2 Timothy 2:15: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

We need the Bible because it will make us better Christians. And we need it every day.

Acts 17:11: These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
